| What is The RFL Benevolent Fund? |

The Fund contains monies generated by the successful annual RFL President's Ball events. This will continue and further income will be generated in a variety of ways. Significantly the Fund receives £1 from every ticket sold for all Carnegie Challenge Cup Finals and engage Super League Grand Finals. Every professional club and clubs in the community game provide support by using the Easter weeknd as a major fund raising occaission for the Benevolent Fund. Other fund raising activities include the auction of Rugby League merchandise from major events and of course the fund can accept charitable donations. The Benevolent Fund offers support to seriously injured players via the RFL's Welfare Officer David Phillips. The Rugby League Benevolent Fund is administered by a Committee of Trustees who will meet regularly. Chaired by former Huddersfield Giants Director Tim Adams, the other members of the committee are; former Great Britain captain and current Sky Sports expert summariser Phil Clarke, David Hinchliffe, the recently retired MP and previously secretary of the Rugby League All Party Parliamentary Group, current Leeds Rhinos Chief Executive Gary Hetherington, the Rugby Football League's Operations Director Emma Rosewarne. The RFL Benevolent Fund has been recognised as being among a number of charities which give the highest percentage of their income towards their stated charitable aims. Donations to the fund can be made by cheques payable to the Rugby League Benevolent Fund forwarded to the RFL headquarters at Red Hall, Leeds, LS17 8NB.
